AirAsia X Berhard, the long haul, low cost affiliate of the AirAsia group announced the increase of its flight frequency from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, from 7 times to 10 times weekly for the period of 26 October 2014 until 31 December 2014 to meet the strong travel demand during the peak holiday period.

Commercial Director of AirAsia X, Dato’ Bernard Francis said, “The additional flight frequencies will offer our guests more flexibility in choosing their preferred flight times and date for their travel convenience. We anticipated a strong demand for the route during the travel period as the weather is highly pleasant with clear views of breathtaking mountains. October and November are the best months for trekking too! We hope that our guests will take this opportunity to enjoy what this colourful city has to offer.”

A historical city with rich culture and religious significance, Kathmandu is filled with grand temples, ancient palaces and world heritage monuments. You can also venture out to Pokhara, the second largest city of Nepal about 200km West of Kathmandu to marvel at the impressive Annnapurna range – a sight to behold especially at sun rise! For the more adventurous ones, trek through the incredible Annapurna region and immerse yourself in the spectacular mountain wilderness of the Annapurna Circuit.
