Air Corsica is to launch its first ever UK service when it begins flying from London Stansted Airport in summer 2018 to the popular Mediterranean holiday Island.
The flights, which begin on May 3rd (to November 4th), will operate up to nine times a week and serve three of the island’s airports – Bastia, Ajacio and Figari – using the airline’s latest 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
Ken O’ Toole, London Stansted’s CEO sad:
“I am delighted to welcome Air Corsica to London Stansted as our latest airline partner and very much look forward to the launch of its first ever scheduled flights to and from the UK when they begin the new service in May next year.
Corsica is a fantastic addition to our extensive and growing network which now covers over 190 destinations across Europe and North America.”
“I’m sure these flights will be very popular with passengers from across London and the growing east of England region who are looking to head off on their holidays and want even more choice of exciting destinations from their local airport. We look forward to working closely with Air Corsica to build a strong working relationship and ensure these new flights are a huge success.”
Philippe Dandrieux, Air Corsica Chairman said:
“International development of our route network is key for Air Corsica’s growth, and London is among our priorities in serving European capitals, especially with Corsica clearly missing on London Stansted’s route map.”
Hervé Pierret, Air Corsica’s Managing Director said:
“We are proud to become a new operator at London Stansted airport and offer up to nine weekly services to Corsica from next summer, bringing island-to-island services at competitive “all inclusive” prices with no add-on fees.”
