Belarusian flag carrier Belavia announced the launch of a new direct service from Minsk to Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.
The new flights will be operated from Mary 30, 2017, four times a week.
The connection to Nizhny Novgorod will be launched after lengthy negotiations between Belavia and the Strigino Airport in light of the expected passenger flow growth in Russia and the lack of foreign carriers operating to the airport.
An Embraer 195 with a seating capacity of 107 passengers will be deployed on the route.
Anatoly Gusarov, Belavia Airlines General Director, said:
“We will provide the residents of Nizhny Novgorod with the opportunity to travel to many destinations in Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia via Minsk, at very attractive prices.
Denis Bukin, Strigino International Airport Executive Director, said:
“Minsk Airport will be the nearest port hub to Nizhny Novgorod for flights to Europe, Asia and the CIS. The schedule of this new flight from Strigino is arranged to allow our passengers to transfer to any destination they need”.
