On October 12, 2018, British charter airline Cello Aviation announced it had ceased trading with immediate effect.

The airline primarily operated private and VIP charters with two specially configured aircraft, as well as wet lease and full charter flights.

Cello Aviation is owned by Birmingham-based Gill Group, a diverse company with interests in the civil engineering, insurance brokerage, and aggregates industries.

A brief statement on the airline’s website said:

“It is with regret that Cello Aviation has ceased trading as of 12/10/2018. We apologise for any inconvenience that may cause our customers and suppliers.”

The airline was headquartered at Birmingham Airport.
