The Cargolux Board of Directors has appointed Lars Syberg as the company’s new Executive Vice President Global Logistics.

Mr. Syberg will take over his new position on 6 June 2016, when he takes charge of the company’s ground handling, warehousing and distribution activities.

Lars Syberg joins Cargolux from Zebra A/S – Retail, where he was responsible for the global supply chain. He has a 30-year background in the logistics industry with vast experience in global logistics and logistic procurement, transportation (sea/air/road), warehousing and logistics quality. He held senior positions at companies such as Molnlycke Health Care and DSV Transport A/S.

Owing to the strategic and financial importance of integrated door-to-door services for the air cargo industry and Cargolux in particular, the company has elevated Mr. Syberg’s position to EVP and Executive Committee level. With this move, Cargolux underlines that only those players with consistent global quality levels comparable to the integrators will survive and prosper in this industry.

Lars Syberg is 49 years old and a Danish national. As a dedicated family man, he devotes his spare time to his wife and two 10-year old daughters.
