In September 2015 Nordwind Airlines was certified by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and received official approval for European operations.
This approval is given to operators in countries outside the European Union (Third Country Operators-TCO) and confirms compliance with the international flight safety standards.
European Aviation Safety Agency gives the highest evaluation to the airline in terms of safety. No doubt, each airline strains after such results, as safety is the top priority for any carrier.
Nordwind Airlines is the second Russian EASA-certified air carrier, following the Aeroflot group of companies.
