Roy Scheerder, Commercial Director at Transavia, is saying goodbye.
He has announced that he is ready for a new challenge and one that is outside the organisation. Roy will transfer all operational tasks as soon as possible, he will continue to be involved in policy and strategic choices until 1 August 2016.
Since 1 August 2012, Roy Scheerder has worked with passion and dedication in developing a new Transavia, which saw the light of day in January last year. He stood at the cradle of Transavia’s ambition to become a leading European low-cost airline, pioneering in digital service, hospitality, accessibility and friendliness. This has resulted in a whole new website where user convenience is a priority, a new uniform for the cabin crew designed by the crew itself, a new corporate style with livery and with new offices in Munich. With the new brand identity, Roy has reinforced the ambitious goals of the 50-year-old Transavia and he has prepared it for the future.
Roy’s achievements in recent years have been realised through the combination of his solid background in hospitality management, commerce and IT. His over eight years of experience in developing e-commerce at KLM have also contributed to this.
The new composition of the executive board at Transavia is yet to be announced.
