OneJet Signs Agreement with Textron Aviation to Begin Initial Deployment of Citation CJ4 Aircraft

OneJet today announced it will add Cessna Citation CJ4 aircraft to its fleet in the first quarter of 2018.

The initial program with Textron Aviation, home to the Cessna brand, will use aircraft from the company’s Pre-Owned Direct inventory and focus on a base-specific roll out. To support its investment in the CJ4 platform, OneJet will provide dedicated pilots and maintenance technicians as well as an assigned parts inventory, as the fleet is deployed.

“Our agreement with Textron Aviation is an important step for our growing fleet model, as it provides an OEM production solution that will help us deliver exceptional performance to an expanded set of targeted markets while offering our customers fantastic cabin comfort and functionality,” said Matthew Maguire, OneJet CEO. “We look forward to this initial deployment of the CJ4, and are excited about the prospective growth opportunities with the Cessna platform.”

OneJet opened its first base in Pittsburgh in May 2016 with two daily flights. The company now offers over 180 weekly flights to and from Pittsburgh, with weekday flights to Albany, Cincinnati, Hartford, Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville, Milwaukee, Providence and Richmond. OneJet provides exclusive nonstop service to and from these markets, with fast and convenient links for business travelers, including those employed by major corporate customers such as FedEx and PNC Bank.

“Textron Aviation has consistently provided innovative solutions to the U.S. aviation market that help better connect people and places,” said John D. Porcari, former U.S. Deputy Secretary and senior advisor to OneJet. “This application of light-jet infrastructure, combined with OneJet’s network model, smartly solves a major emerging gap in the U.S. air transportation system by offering regional commercial travelers increased nonstop travel options that are convenient, comfortable and reliable.”

As a member of Textron Aviation’s renowned CJ family of light business jets, the single-pilot Cessna Citation CJ4 provides an ideal combination of speed, range and cabin size. The CJ4 provides a cabin environment that is comfortable and passenger-centric, offering separate temperature control-zones for the cockpit and cabin, wide leather seats that can be configured to fully recline and a high-definition technology system that ensures a productive flight.

“The CJ4 offers exceptional aircraft performance and cabin amenities that crew and passengers appreciate,” said Steve Schatzman, VP of pre-owned aircraft, Textron Aviation. “We are pleased to be working with OneJet to provide an aircraft that further builds on the high-quality service its transportation network has established in key markets across the U.S.”
