Oman Air plane’s tyre bursts while landing

Oman Air confirmed that its flight WY707, flying from Muscat to Dar Es Salaam suffered, while landing at Dar Es Salaam International Airport in Tanzania on Saturday 16th July, burst in both nose wheel tires.

The flight took off from Muscat at 1915 local time with 158 passengers and six crew on board.

“The guests and crew were unharmed and were disembarked smoothly without any injuries. A full investigation will take place to determine how this technical incident could occur, despite the thorough maintenance planning and execution”, the airline said in a statement.

Online flight trackers indicate that the aircraft involved in the incident is a Boeing 737-800, registration A4O-BF, delivered new to Oman Air by the end of 2009.
