Air China launches Shanghai-San Jose service

On September 1, the ceremony for the maiden flight of Air China Shanghai-San Jose was held at Terminal 2 of Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Air China is the only airline in China providing nonstop Shanghai-San Jose service. The opening of the air route offers those engaged in commercial activities, or others who just want to get away with a brand-new and convenient route.

Air China’s launch of their Shanghai-San Jose service expanded its airline network in America, grew its global airline network with Shanghai as an international port, and further optimized and integrated its airline network layout in east China. In the summer and autumn of 2016, Air China serves a total of 36 destinations in Shanghai, of which 14 are international and regional flights and 22 are domestic.

The flight number of the Shanghai-San Jose service is CA829/30, which is available three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). The Shanghai-San Jose flight departs from Shanghai at 13:30 local time and arrives in San Jose at 10:40 local time. On the return trip the San Jose-Shanghai flight departs from San Jose at 12:30 local time and arrives in Shanghai at 16:40 local time (the next day). The flight is set to be operated by Airbus A330-200.
