Spencer Lee, AirAsia Head of Commercial said:

“We are pleased to introduce Johor Bahru-Macao route as part of our long term plan to further expand Johor Bahru hub as a key regional hub and a gateway for business travellers and investors from China into the southern state. Besides Macao, we have introduced several new routes from Johor Bahru this year such as Johor Bahru-Kuala Terengganu, Johor Bahru-Langkawi, and recently Johor Bahru-Kolkata which solidified our commitment towards the hub. This is only the beginning as we have more exciting plan in the pipeline for our southern hub in the future.”

“Since 2010, we have flown over 11 million guests in and out of Johor Bahru via Senai International Airport and this is also the results of a strong partnership as they have been supporting us in many ways since then to improve the connectivity and user experience for our guests. We believe the airport has the potential to grow significantly and we will continue working with them to provide better connectivity for our guests and grow the hub further.”
