BOC Aviation Orders Two New Airbus A320 Aircraft

BOC Aviation has announced that it has added to its investment pipeline by ordering two new Airbus A320-200 aircraft, both of which are committed to lease to an Asian airline.

The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2017.

“The addition of this pair of A320CEO aircraft reflects its enduring popularity with our customer base, given the reliability and fuel-efficiency it provides,” said Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation.

“The A320 family aircraft continues to remain a strong workhorse for short-haul fleets and remains a core component of our portfolio. With this incremental order, we are proud to announce that we have ordered and purchased 330 aircraft from the A320 family to date,” Mr. Martin added.

BOC Aviation is one of Airbus’ top 10 customers globally. Following this latest purchase agreement, BOC Aviation’s cumulative outstanding orders, purchases and deliveries to date for Airbus aircraft total 367 aircraft, including 330 aircraft from the A320 family (of which 67 are A321 aircraft) and 28 A330 aircraft.
