Starting Friday March 1st, CAL Cargo Airlines will add a second weekly rotation from Oslo Airport to Tel Aviv.
The new departure will be on Fridays, adding 3.500 tons of seafood capacity from Oslo airport to Israel annually, to an estimated export value of over 20.5 million euros.
“We are very pleased that CAL has decided to increase their capacity from the largest freighter HUB in Northern Europe. Israel is a significant importer of fresh Norwegian seafood, such as salmon, which requires short shelf life. It’s therefore essential that we can facilitate fast and efficient delivery from Norway to Israel in collaboration with CAL,” says Martin Langaas, Director Cargo at Avinor.
“CAL is pleased to launch the second weekly flight to OSL and we are looking forward to offering even better connectivity to Israel with our new Friday departure from Norway. This will strengthen the existing relationship with the seafood industry”, says Mr. Offer Gilboa, CAL Chairman.”
CAL Cargo Airlines is part of Challenge Group, who specializes in unique, complex, time and temperature sensitive cargo requirements.
Its main hub, located in Liege, provides immediate access to all of Europe. CAL services include scheduled routes to New York, Atlanta, Mexico City, Tel Aviv and Larnaca, as well as ad-hoc and charter missions.
