Cathay Pacific’s first Airbus A350-1000 has rolled out of the paint shop in Toulouse, France.
The airline will be taking delivery the first of these 20 technologically-advanced aircraft by the middle of the year.
The Cathay Pacific Group, which already has one of the most modern fleets in the sky, is investing substantially in its future expansion and will be taking delivery of 79 new aircraft between now and 2024, including six A350-900 and 32 x A321neo and 21 Boeing 777-9X.
The A350-1000 will form an important part of Cathay Pacific’s long-haul operations and will be deployed on its new route to Washington DC starting in September. The service to Dulles International Airport will become the longest on the Cathay Pacific network.
