Loganair Joins the European Regions Airline Association

The European Regions Airline Association welcomed Loganair, Scotland’s Airline, into its strong and varied airline membership.

Loganair rounds up the number of ERA member airlines to 50, adding further substance to the association’s expanding airline membership and highlighting the value that ERA provides to carriers by representing them before Europe’s regulatory bodies.

Loganair is a Scottish regional airline founded in 1962, making it the longest-established airline in the UK still flying under its original name. The airline has its main base at Glasgow Airport and the airline provides a comprehensive network of scheduled services.

Jonathan Hinkles, Managing Director at Loganair, said:

“We are delighted to join ERA and see it as a natural progression for us now that we are established as an airline operating under our own brand. We also recognize the value that being part of such an organization brings us with regards to the fast-moving pace of regulatory changes on aviation.”

ERA’s Director General Montserrat Barriga said:

“I am delighted to welcome Loganair into ERA membership. ERA is at the forefront of strategic discussions on the future of the aviation industry, delivering consistent and effective representation. We provide an ideal forum for airlines to unite and address shared issues and are very much looking forward to representing Loganair and continuing to champion our airlines’ interests before Europe’s major regulatory bodies.”

ERA is the only European trade body to include the full range of companies involved in European aviation, including airlines, airports, manufacturers and suppliers.
