Stu Willcuts Named President/CEO of Air Serv International

The Air Serv International Board of Directors recently confirmed that Stu Willcuts was named the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Serv International, effective January 2, 2017.

In a departure-defined succession, Willcuts replaces Dave Carlstrom, who served as President and CEO from 2009-2016.

Carlstrom assumed the position of President/CEO while a director at Air Serv in 2009 when the organization was in serious financial difficulty. Carlstrom created solutions to keep the organization operating and then oversaw the growth of the Air Serv fleet to seven aircraft flying on contract with the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) and Doctors without Borders (MSF) in Central and East Africa by 2016.

During Carlstrom’s tenure, Air Serv’s subsidiary in Uganda, Air Serv Limited (ASL), received certification from the U.N. Humanitarian Air Services (UNHAS)/WFP and then assumed Air Serv International humanitarian flight operations for Africa.

Willcuts, a graduate of George Fox University, previously served as Air Serv International’s President/CEO from 2000 to 2006. During this time, Willcuts saw Air Serv’s fleet expand rapidly with revenue over $40M in 2005 and 32 aircraft operating in 12 countries. Willcuts has over 30 years of experience in humanitarian organizations worldwide.

With its current fleet of seven Cessna Caravans, Air Serv specializes in “last mile” air transportation in support of humanitarian programs. Air Serv also provides commercial air charter, facility, and aircraft maintenance services.
