Wizz Air Holdings Executive Vice President resigns

Wizz Air Holdings today announced that John Stephenson, the Group’s Executive Vice President has informed the Company of his decision to resign with effect from 24 August 2016.

John Stephenson has been with the Company since 2006, during which time he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer and went on to become Executive Vice President in 2009.

József Váradi, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, commented:

“On behalf of the Board, management team and all of our colleagues, we would like to thank John for the significant contribution he has made to the Company over the last ten years. He has played a central role in building Wizz Air into the leading low cost carrier in CEE and one of the strongest airlines in Europe. We wish him all the best in the future.”

Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, operates a fleet of 69 Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft, and offers more than 420 routes from 25 bases, connecting 124 destinations across 39 countries. Wizz Air is listed on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker WIZZ and is included in the FTSE 250 and FTSE All-Share Indices.
