Bearskin Airlines announced a strategic partnership with Winnipeg based Perimeter Aviation to re-introduce service between Thunder Bay and several First Nations communities north of Sioux Lookout.
Winnipeg based Perimeter Aviation has been linking Sandy Lake, Pikangikum and Sachigo Lake to Winnipeg for more than 10 years. Perimeter recently expanded their service to include links to Sioux Lookout at which time a partnership was struck with Bearskin Airlines to offer joint fares and connections to/from Thunder Bay.
Using a single ticket, and a shared airport counter in Sioux Lookout, Bearskin and Perimeter facilitate connections between their respective flights in Sioux Lookout making the journey seamless to the passenger and more affordable.
On October 24, 2016, Perimeter’s service to Sioux Lookout was expanded to include Deer Lake, Sachigo Lake, Weagamow (Round Lake) and North Spirit Lake with many of these new flights connecting to Bearskin Airlines service to/from Thunder Bay.
Effective October 31, 2016, this strategic partnership will permit the purchase of leisure and business travel using a single ticket with Bearskin Airlines.
On November 7, 2016, Perimeter Aviation will add Bearskin Lake to their growing number of communities linked to Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay-Bearskin Lake connecting service will also be introduced via this strategic partnership.
Bearskin Airlines is Thunder Bay’s hometown airline and currently offers up to 100 scheduled flights daily to 12 destinations from Winnipeg in the west to North Bay in the east. Bearskin Airlines offers more service between Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout than any other airline and this new strategic partnership will make it easier and more affordable to travel between Bearskin’s destinations and many First Nations communities north of Sioux Lookout.
Bearskin Airlines is owned by EIC a Canadian corporation who, in addition to Bearskin Airlines, also owns Perimeter Aviation, Keewatin Air and Calm Air among other airline and specialty manufacturing companies in Canada and the United States.
