The opening of the base is planned for December 2016.

Amsterdam will become the 12th Small Planet Airlines‘ base in Europe. The company is also flying from bases in Lithuania, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

“We will operate flights from Amsterdam in cooperation with Neckermann – a part of “Thomas Cook” – which is the second biggest tour operator in Europe. We’re really glad that after successful cooperation in Germany and Poland we managed to add a new country to our destination map. Hopefully the cooperation with Neckermann will broaden even more in the summer season 2017”, said Kristijonas Kaikaris, CEO of Small Planet Airlines.

For the upcoming season Small Planet Airlines will lease Neckermann one Airbus A320 aircraft to operate flights to Las Palmas, Tenerife Sur, Lanzarote, Crete, Kos, Rhodes, Split, and Palma de Mallorca. The flights from Amsterdam will be handled by Small Planet Airlines GmbH which is operating under the German AOC.
