Nordic Seaplanes temporarily suspends operations

    Danish airline Nordic Seaplanes announced the suspension of its operations throughout the month of January.

    The airline said in a press release that is sole aircraft, a Twin Otter seaplane wet leased from Croatian operator European Coastal Airlines, has been sent to Switzerland for its annual inspection and a major overhaul, that is expected to take about a month to be completed.

    Nordic Seaplanes expects to resume commercial services in mid-February.

    The small regional airline caters primarily for frequent travelers between the cities of Aarhus and Copenhagen.

    Before the suspension, the service was running up to five times a day from Miljøhavnen in Aarhus and at Nordre Toldbod in Copenhagen.
