Saudia Airlines is set to receive three new widebody aircraft.
The Saudi flag carrier announced it will receive a total of three aircraft on February 2nd. Two of them will be the airline’s first Boeing 787-9s and the third a Boeing 777-300ER, the 10th Boeing 777 in the airline’s fleet, that will reach 125 aircraft of various types and sizes after the retirement of four Boeing 747s and four Embraers.
Saudia will also take delivery of a third Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner just a few days after receiving these three aircraft.
Saudia is expected to received a total of four Boeing 787s in 2016 and another four in 2017. In 2016 alone, Saudia will receive a total of 29 new aircraft from both Airbus and Boeing.
