Oman Air flight experiences burst tyres after landing at Delhi

An Oman Air’s Boeing 737, with registration A40-BV, flying from Muscat to Delhi as WY241, has experienced two burst tyres following its arrival at Delhi.

The incident occurred whilst the aircraft was taxiing soon after it landed at the airport.

143 passengers and six crew were onboard and no injuries have been reported. All passengers were disembarked smoothly and were transferred by bus to the airport terminal.

The return Delhi-Muscat flight will be delayed by seven hours as a consequence of the incident. Spare parts and a replacement crew are travelling to Delhi to bring the aircraft back to base as swiftly as possible.
