This is the only way to keep ahead of the game, particularly in the important business travel segment. We are clearly focusing on Italy, where we plan to expand our services together with our partner, Alitalia. Our hubs Berlin and Dusseldorf are in the centre of our new network strategy and along with that the improvement of the integration of our flights at both of these. This will enable us to offer our passengers improved connections particularly to our long-haul flights”, said Stefan Pichler, Chief Executive Officer of airberlin.

On 2nd May 2016, airberlin will operate its first service from Dusseldorf to Bologna, offering three flights a day to the new destination.
