Airnorth to operate Darwin-Katherine-Tennant Creek-Alice Springs route

Airnorth has announced the expansion of its Northern Territory network with services to operate from Darwin to Katherine, Tennant Creek and onto Alice Springs commencing 19 October, 2015.

This new route further expands regional air services within Northern and Central Australia for Territorians and visitors to the region.

Airnorth will operate full service flights three times a week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday in their 30 seat Embraer 120 aircraft.

Offering more options for business travellers and residents, Airnorth’s new service provides convenient flight connections for onward journeys via Alice Springs and Darwin.

“Airnorth has a continued and ongoing commitment to providing quality scheduled air services to the regional communities of the Northern Territory and we are excited to be extending our Network within the region,” said Daniel Bowden, Airnorth’s Chief Executive Officer.

“Given population growth and increased business activity within the NT it is an ideal time to reintroduce the Centre Run services and we do so with a long term outlook of providing sustainable air services to Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. Airnorth welcomes the support provided by the Northern Territory Government in launching the Centre Run services and values their continued commitment to developing our regional communities and enhancing remote area services,” Mr Bowden said.

“Airnorth now operates an extensive airline and contract charter network covering most of Northern Australia as well as providing services to our nearest neighbours, Timor Leste and Manila in the Philippines,” Mr Bowden said.
