Allegiant takes off with new flights from Stockton to San Diego

Allegiant today begins new, nonstop service from Stockton, California to San Diego.

“Allegiant is very excited to give Stockton travelers a chance to enjoy some fun in the San Diego sun with this new route,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “We look forward to bringing more visitors and economic growth to the San Diego area with this new service.”

The new service will operate twice weekly and expand on the routes Allegiant currently operates to San Diego International Airport (SAN). With this new flight, Allegiant will now serve two routes to San Diego after Allegiant launched service from Bellingham, Washington to San Diego in June 2008. The route will bring nearly 37,000 additional visitors each year to the San Diego area and generate an estimated $13.3 million in annual visitor spending.

Allegiant’s innovative business model has allowed it to grow from one plane and one route to offering access to low-cost flights in over 100 cities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier.
