Andreas Otto Confirmed as CCO of Austrian Airlines

The Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines confirmed Andreas Otto (54) as the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and extended his mandate, which would have expired in 2017, until 2022.

Otto has been a Member of the Management Board of Austrian Airlines AG since October 1, 2014. His responsibilities include Sales, Network Planning, Product and Marketing. Within the Lufthansa Group, he plays a double role, with overall international responsibility for Product Management of the entire Group. In addition to Andreas Otto, the Austrian Airlines Management Board includes Kay Kratky as CEO. Heinz Lachinger is a Member of the Extended Management Board, serving as CFO.

Andreas Otto was born in Mettmann near Düsseldorf on October 9, 1962. He studied business administration at the University of Cologne, where he graduated with a PhD in 1994. He began his professional career in the same years as Project Manager Logistics at Rhenus AG & Co. KG in Dortmund, where he was named Sales Manager two years later. In 1999 he assumed the position of Deputy Member of the Management Board with responsibility for marketing and sales. In the year 2000 he moved to Lufthansa Cargo AG, serving on its Executive Board. In 2014 he was appointed as CCO of Austrian Airlines. Andreas Otto is married and has one son.
