For the second time in a week, Aurigny is launching a new route for 2016.
Aurigny will be linking Guernsey with East Anglia this coming summer, with a weekly Saturday service to Norwich Airport.
The new flight leaves Guernsey at 07.30 and arrives into Norwich at 08.55. The return flight departs Norwich 30 minutes later. The Saturday only service will begin on 14 May and end on 17 September.
Aurigny seized the opportunity to begin the new seasonal service after Flybe decided not to operate to Norwich in 2016.
Malcolm Coupar, Aurigny’s Commercial Director, says:
“This is an exciting time for Aurigny as we continue to expand our UK network. We’re enhancing the traditional seasonal link with Norwich by adding 45% more seats on the route and flying on a Saturday, not a Sunday. We believe offering customers an earlier start to their holiday will prove more popular.”
He continues:
“Norwich is a great tourist destination for people from the Bailiwick. The airport is located close to the city, which is a mix of historical architecture and very modern, striking buildings. Norwich is rightly famous for its cathedral and castle and it’s England’s only UNESCO City of Literature. One of the most popular waterways in Europe, the Norfolk Broads National Park, is easily accessible from the capital, while the seaside towns of Cromer and Southwold aren’t too far away.”
