Bangkok Airways launches new non-stop service to Da Nang, Vietnam

Bangkok Airways has announced its new service linking Bangkok and Danang, Vietnam.

The airline will offer four flights a week (Monday, Wednesday Friday and Saturday) with a 138-seater Airbus A319 aircraft.

Mr.Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways PCL said: “Bangkok Airways is pleased to offer this new service to Danang. We consider Danang as one of our strategic flying hubs in the South East Asia region. Danang is the third largest city and a major port in Vietnam. The city is situated on the Eastern Sea and is close to UNESCO World heritage sites including the old town of Hoi An and the imperial capital of Hue, making Danang a popular vacationing spot for tourists who are looking to explore the attractions of central Vietnam.”

“We consider this to be another milestone for us as this will make Bangkok Airways the only scheduled airline to fly to Danang from Thailand. We anticipate that the majority of our passengers will be businessmen and tourists from the two countries. Moreover, having a link to the central Vietnamese city of Danang will make it easier for our passengers traveling aboard our code-share-partner airlines from around the world to connect to Hoi An and Hue and the major gateways Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.”

“We are confident that with our strong reputation of offering a boutique flying experience for our passengers, Bangkok Airways will be the leading player in this market.” Mr. Puttipong added.

The outbound flight PG947 will depart Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 11.00hrs and arrive Danang International Airport at 12.35hrs. The inbound flight PG948 will depart Danang Airport at 13.35hrs and arrive Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 15.55hrs.
