Brussels Airlines connects Nantes to Brussels

From 14 June onwards, Brussels Airlines will fly 12 times a week between Nantes and Brussels Airport.

With Nantes, Brussels Airlines adds the Pays de la Loire area to its growing network of flights, which is an attractive region both economically as for tourists.

Brussels Airlines continues its network growth. After previously announcing that it would be adding Toronto, Nuremberg, Belfast, Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Jerez de la Frontera to its expanding flight offer this spring, Brussels Airlines announces today a new connection between Nantes and Brussels Airport.

Nantes will be served twice a day (morning and evening flight) on weekdays. The flight schedule during weekdays even allows day trips to Brussels. On Saturdays and Sundays the schedule includes one flight per day. The flights are operated by Embraer 145 Regional Jets.

“With Nantes, the sixth largest city and an important economic centre in France, Brussels Airlines is continuing its efforts to link the main French regions with the European capital. Not only do we offer flights from and to Nantes but via Brussels Airport, passengers can easily travel towards dozens of destinations throughout Europe, Africa and the United States. The schedule was especially designed to allow smooth connections.” – said Thadee Nawrocki, Brussels Airlines country manager France.

Nantes is located at the estuary of the Loire and together with the nearby St Nazaire it is better known as the naval heart of shipbuilding. But the aviation industry is also strongly represented, with manufacturer Airbus as well as numerous well-known food companies, of which the headquarters are located in the region. Nantes also rapidly develops itself as an IT hub.
