Cape Air resumes St. Thomas to Tortola

Cape Air continues its growth in the Caribbean by adding non-stop service between St. Thomas and Tortola.

Beginning on December 16, daily flights will depart St. Thomas at 2:30 p.m. and arrive in Tortola at 2:50 p.m. Daily flights will depart from Tortola at 12:40 p.m. and arrive in St. Thomas at 12:55 pm.

“Cape Air offered non-stop service between St. Thomas and Tortola until December of last year.  However, increased recent demand sparked considerable local interest in the route’s reinstatement. The local USVI and BVI communities both requested the return of the service between St. Thomas and Tortola, and it is our pleasure to honor that request,” said Linda Markham, President of Cape Air.  “It is very important for us to be able to listen to the suggestions of our passengers and the communities we serve and respond to meet those needs,” she added.

Cape Air has been offering daily frequent flights since 1998 throughout the Caribbean.  With its Caribbean hub in San Juan, Cape Air operates more than 100 daily flights to St. Thomas, St. Croix, Tortola, Vieques, Mayaguez, Anguilla and Nevis.  It also offers non-stop service between St. Croix and Vieques, and now St. Thomas and Tortola.

“This is wonderful news!  Cape Air has been a great partner to The British Virgin Islands and their added service between St. Thomas and Tortola will be a great addition.  The British Virgin Islands is thrilled that Cape Air has positioned itself to service our gateway from St. Thomas and provide a seamless connection for our guests,” said Sharon Flax-Mars, Director of Tourism for the British Virgin Islands.
