Cargolux appoints new Regional Director West and North Europe

Cargolux announced that Gerard Ter Bruggen has joined the company as its new Regional Director West and North Europe, covering Benelux, the UK, Scandinavia and Baltic States.

Gerard Ter Bruggen looks back on 35 years of experience in the airline industry. His career has taken him through Traffic, Operations, Customer Service and Country Management to operational responsible positions in Sales and Marketing.

He joins Cargolux from Qatar Airways where he held the position of Cargo Manager North and Western Europe. His career in the air cargo industry also includes previous stints at Martinair, Pan American World Airways, Dragonair Cargo and Cargo B Airlines.

“We are very pleased to have Gerard in our team of 6 regional directors in Area 2 (Europe, Africa, Middle east & Indian subcontinent)”, says Niek van der Weide, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing.

“His vast experience and excellent contact with the major customers are an important factor and will certainly help Cargolux to further expand and strengthen the relationships with our clients.”

Mr. Ter Bruggen took over his new position on 1 January and will be based in Amsterdam.
