ECAir resumes flights between Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire

Equatorial Congo Airlines, the national airline of the Republic of Congo, announced the resumption of its domestic service between Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire on October 3, 2016.

ECAir, which serves ten destinations from Brazzaville, was forced to suspend its domestic flights in early July owing to a lack of aircraft availability, according to the airline.

Rotations between Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire will be provided for several weeks by a B757, (16 seats class business and 132 economy class seats), one of the seven aircraft in the fleet of Equatorial Congo Airlines, while awaiting for the return of one of its Boeing 737 aircraft currently undergoing some heavy maintenance.

“We are pleased to resume our flights to Pointe-Noire. Our passengers have much regretted the absence of Equatorial Congo Airlines on this route for weeks”, said Fatima Beyina-Moussa, Director General  Equatorial Congo Airlines.

“We are delighted to have the loyalty and trust of our passengers”, she added.

Along with the resumption of flights between Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire, ECAir announced the resumption of its scheduled service to Paris, a route that it launched back in August 2012. France is a very important market for the Congolese Airline that offers up to three weekly flights (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday).

As ECAir’s aircraft gradually rejoin its fleet, the airline will be able to resume its normal flying program.
