Finnair adds fifth destination in Sweden

Finnair adds Västerås in Central Sweden to its network, with a code share on the new NextJet route between Helsinki and Västerås, with flights starting on September 15.

The route is operated with three return flights on weekdays, one on Saturdays and two on Sundays, with smooth connections to its Asian and European network.

“The new Västerås route expands our reach in Sweden, and adds yet another destination to our strong European network, with timetables designed for smooth connections via our Helsinki Hub,” says Juha Järvinen, Chief Commercial Officer, Finnair.

The code share is a part of the airline’s expansion in Sweden, and increases Finnair’s Swedish destinations to five. Finnair flies daily to Arlanda and Bromma in Stockholm, to Gothenburgh in the west coast of Sweden, and as of September 1, to Umeå in cooperation with Swedish regional airline BRA.

From its Helsinki-Vantaa base Finnair flies to Asia, North America and an extensive regional network in Europe.

The fleet consists of narrow-bodied and wide-bodied aircraft, including the Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A321, Airbus A330, Airbus A340 and Airbus A350. ATR-72 and Embraer 190 aircraft are operated by Nordic Regional Airlines.
