flybe cancels Liverpool to Amsterdam service

flybe announced the cancellation of its Liverpool to Amsterdam service, effective 30th March 2016.

A Flybe spokesperson comments:

“Flybe can confirm that it is cancelling its Liverpool service to Amsterdam with the last flight operating on 29th March, 2016″.

Flybe however remains fully committed to operating its remaining four routes to and from Liverpool John Lennon airport for summer that includes a brand new Saturday service to Newquay from 21st May, four additional weekend return flights to Belfast together with frequent flights to Belfast City, Edinburgh and the Isle of Man.

“Flybe carefully reviews the viability of all our routes on a regular basis. This is done not only to monitor where we can offer increased regularity on a given route but also where passenger numbers make a flight economically as well as environmentally harder to justify. With many opportunities to improve regional connectivity within the UK Flybe continues to refine its network to best serve our customers. Regretfully, the Amsterdam service has failed to perform to expectations and passenger numbers remain insufficient to justify its continued operation.”
