Geir Steiro joins Thomas Cook Group Airlines to lead maintenance group

Thomas Cook Group Airlines’ growth story continues today with the appointment of Geir Steiro to lead its Group Maintenance Organization.

Geir brings with him a wealth of experience from previous senior roles at SAS, Aker Solutions and most recently Norwegian Air Shuttle where he was Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager.

He will be based at the Manchester Airport headquarters of Thomas Cook Airlines and be responsible for around 1,000 maintenance and engineering teams in five bases across four countries and serving 95 Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

Chief Airlines Officer for Thomas Cook Group, Christoph Debus, said:
