Gulf Air to resume flights to Tehran

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced that it will be recommencing flights to Iranian capital Tehran, with four weekly flights starting on the  March 3rd.

The carrier’s lucrative services to Iran and Iraq were suspended at the height of the anti-government protests in 2011.

The airline said it would operate four weekly flights to Tehran, starting from March 3rd. It resumed flights to Iraq in September 2012 and also started operations to the Iranian city of Mashhad last December, after several delays. But flights to Tehran remained suspended.

As one of the Middle East’s largest network carriers, Gulf Air is well-positioned to connect Iran to several key destinations in the Middle East and Europe with excellent connectivity within 3 hours through its efficient hub in Bahrain.
