Iberia boosts Marrakesh services

The Iberia Group is beefing up its services from Madrid to Morocco’s legendary imperial city, Marrakesh.

Starting on 1st April, it will operate one daily Madrid-Marrakesh return flight, using Airbus A320s and A321s, with 170 and 200 seats, respectively. These flights will be added to the ones already offered by Iberia Regional Air Nostrum

The annual total of seats offered to Marrakesh this summer season will come to 88,200, a 26.6% increase from 2014.

The flights are timed to offer good connections with flights from/to London Heathrow through the airline’s T4 hub in Madrid.

Iberia operates currently up to eight daily flights linking London Heathrow to Madrid.

In 2015, the Iberia Group will open seven new routes in the UK. Iberia Express will start flying from Edinburgh, London Gatwick and Manchester to Madrid, as well as from London Heathrow to Majorca, Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, franchise of the Spanish airline, will start flying from London Luton to Vigo.

Passengers from the United Kingdom cannot only fly with Iberia to Marrakesh and the Moroccan cities of Tangier and Casablanca, but also to 27 Spanish cities, Lisbon and Porto in Portugal, seven cities in Africa, 19 destinations in Latin America, as well as five cities in the United States.
