interCaribbean Resumes Flight Operations After Hurricane Irma

interCaribbean began flight operations today resuming international flight operations.

The airline issued the following press release:

“Providenciales airport was declared open at 11 am yesterday September 11th. Our flights domestically in the Turks & Caicos are not yet restored. Flights in and out of Tortola are currently suspended pending the airport able to resolve needed repairs.

“We are pending notification that Grand Turk reopens.  South Caicos has been quite devastated and no timeline to restore commercial service.

“We are in the process of setting up a donations page to aid those in wanting to donate. Right now essential supplies are being flown in with various aid organizations arriving to assist in assessments and repairs.

“There is a lot to do for recovery in both TCI and BVI and we appreciate all support in rebuilding our islands in the Caribbean. Immediate needs for all is the restoration of power and water, and basic supplies to assist affected persons in these islands.

“Anguilla and Barbuda, as well as St Martin/Sint Maarten, have been devastated by the event and are in need of all possible support.”
