JOON Adds Direct Flights Between Bergen and Paris Charles De Gaulle

In May, Air France’s subsidiary JOON will begin daily direct flights from Bergen’s Flesland Airport to Charles de Gaulle in Paris.

The new route will continue to run through the winter.

Aslak Sverdrup, Airport Director at Bergen Airport, is pleased to welcome JOON to Flesland:

“JOON was established at Oslo Airport in March, and as Norway’s second-largest airport, it’s natural that we would be next in line. After the opening of the new terminal in August last year, we have a significantly increased capacity and facilities that we’re proud of,” says Sverdrup, continuing: “Relevant direct routes are also vital for incoming tourism to our region. Many come to see the fjords and travel on from Bergen to other parts of the country. Paris is a well-known and well-loved destination for Western Norwegians, and from Charles de Gaulle, you can also travel further afield through Air France and KLM’s worldwide route network,” says Sverdrup.

“It will be exciting to see how Western Norwegians embrace JOON. We have great faith in both the concept and the route, and will do what we can to ensure that this is a success,” says Aslak Sverdrup.

Halvor Gløersen, Sales Director for Air France and KLM Norway, said:

“We are proud to expand our route offering with our newest and most innovative flight concept, JOON, which is a new and modern way of flying that fits us Norwegians perfectly, with everything from organic food and a trendy crew to mobile services.

“We offer the best route to Paris, and from Charles de Gaulle our Norwegian passengers can also continue on through the worldwide Air France route network.”
