Kamil Gainutdinov appointed President of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) has announced the appointment of Kamil Gainutdinov as the company’s new President in accordance with the decision made by it’s Board of Directors.

Ilya Tarasenko, who previously held this position, is now Director General at Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (part of JSC United Aircraft Corporation). Kamil Gainutdinov is to assume office on 7 September, 2016.

Before the appointment Kamil Gainutdinov was Director of Sales and Business Development at Boeing. He started working at Boeing in 2005. In Moscow, he lead a team which was responsible for sales and business development in the CIS countries and the Middle East. He was also in charge of cooperation between government agencies and industrial facilities. Later, at the Boeing Seattle Headquarters he managed an international team responsible for sales and customer support, he was also in charge of business and human resource development as well as the company’s service strategy.

From 2002-2005 Kamil Gainutdinov worked at UTair aviation company, where he coordinated helicopter service international sales and marketing and was in charge of the company’s helicopter fleet and corporate business planning. In 1996 he started working as an Mi-8 helicopter pilot and Yak-48 and Yak-40 aircraft pilot at Tulpar aviation company. He later managed a number of international projects, ran M&A projects and was in charge of business planning and marketing.

In 1996, Kamil Gainutdinov graduated with distinction from Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers as a qualified pilot-engineer. He holds the degree of Master of Business Administration (Aviation Management) of Melbourne Institute of Technology and completed the Master of Professional Accounting course.
