LATAM launches new direct flight between Orlando and Rio de Janeiro

LATAM Airlines Brazil will begin a new service connecting the United States with Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

From July 2, 2017, the company will operate a non-stop flight from Orlando, Florida to Rio de Janeiro’s Tom Jobim International Airport.

Both Rio de Janeiro and Orlando are major tourist destinations, and this was one of the few main routes between the US and Latin America without a non-stop service. With the launch, LATAM will offer a unique service to its passengers and intends to increase the number of travelers between the two cities over the next few months.

The flights connecting these two destinations will operate three times per week.

The flight from Orlando will depart on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:10pm. The return flight from Galeão will depart on Wednesday and Friday, at 10:50pm, and on Sunday at 11:05am.

All flights will be operated on Boeing 767 aircraft, each with a capacity for 221 passengers (with 30 seats in Premium Business and 191 seats in Economy).

In addition to visiting the attractions of Rio de Janeiro, passengers will also be able to access destinations served by LATAM throughout Brazil and Latin America.
