In order to better serve its customers, Luxair Luxembourg Airlines is expanding its network of destinations and consolidating its existing lines.
Dublin, Lisbon and Stockholm figure as newcomers in the summer 2014 flight plan, while flight frequencies to Porto and Copenhagen will be increased from November 2013 and March 2014 respectively.
Luxair is strengthening its presence in Portugal by introducing from November a 5th weekly connection to Porto and is offering 3 weekly connections to Lisbon from March 2014. Good news for the Portuguese community living in Luxembourg and the Greater Region as it will now be even easier to get to Portugal from Findel. Luxair will also benefit from the arrival of a second Boeing 737-800 in its fleet to to bolster the operation of these lines and guarantee higher capacity on these flights during the summer season.
The coming into effect of the 2014 summer timetable will also be marked by intensified service to Northern Europe. Following the growing success of the Luxembourg-Copenhagen line, operational since 3 June 2013, Scandinavia aficionados will benefit from a second connection to the Danish capital as from March 2014 and will be able to reach Stockholm from Luxembourg thanks to the setting up of a direct line from 30 March 2014.
An essential financial centre and a destination greatly appreciated by Luxembourg’s huge Irish community, Dublin is also a cultural and touristic hotspot. The Irish capital will also be served by regular flights from 30 March 2014.
These developments follow the recent strengthening of connections to London City (5th daily flight operational since 8 April 2013) and to Milan Malpensa (a 3rd daily flight was launched in September 2012). All these changes form part of Luxair’s new strategy, which consists in developing its products and services according to its clients’ needs, a strategy in line with a transparent price structure adapted to all expectations. The openings of new routes such as Dublin, Lisbon and Stockholm will be implemented following an agreement in principle which had already been formulated by the Board of Directors of LuxairGroup last June.
