Luxair extends its network to Dublin

As of 30 March 2014 Luxair Luxembourg Airlines will offer four direct flights per week from Luxembourg to Dublin.

Two years after having been forced to abandon flights to Dublin Luxair Luxembourg Airlines announces that it will resume this direct route with four weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) as of 30 March 2014 and this for the entire summer season. The flights can be booked as from next Monday, 8 July 2013.

These new flights will be operated by a Bombardier Q400 with a capacity of 76 seats (versus 49 for the Embraer ERJ145 used in the past) and will allow the travellers from Luxembourg and the Greater Region to reach the Irish capital directly from Findel airport. This is meant for business travellers, notably for those working for the financial sector, as well as for tourists willing to explore the Dublin charms. It also will ease the arrival of Irish people wishing to discover Luxembourg.

This decision is part of the new Luxair strategy to serve its customers better, not only with a more attractive fare structure but also by developing its European network according to the demand of both business and leisure travellers. This follows the opening of the new Luxembourg-Copenhagen route as of 3 June, already coming up with a very good load factor. This also is in accordance with the enhancing of the London-City route (a fifth daily flight is being operated since 8 April) and the Milan-Malpensa connection (a third daily flight is being operated since September 2012).
