Morocco and Cambodia Reinforce Civil Aviation Cooperation

Morocco and Cambodia initialed, on 25 July 2016 in Rabat, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to reinforce technical cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

By virtue of this MoU, signed by Head of Civil Aviation in Morocco, Mr. Khalid Cherkaoui and Secretary of State in charge of civil aviation in Cambodia, Mr. Mao Havannall, the two parties decided to allow for the operation of seven weekly flights, and allow air carriers designated by both countries to operate passengers and cargo flights.

They also agreed to avoid double taxation, and enhance the possibility of trade cooperation between air carriers in both countries.

Under the agreement, which covers the areas of training, maintenance and ground handling services, Morocco will provide its assistance and expertise to the Cambodian Civil Aviation Authority which will be audited by the end of 2016 by ICAO.
