Philippine Airlines operates direct Cebu–Singapore

A direct flight from Cebu to Singapore to be launched by Philippine Airlines (PAL) on December 16 will bring holiday seekers straight to the Lion City without having to connect in Manila.

The four times weekly service (Monday / Wednesday / Friday /  Sunday) via PR517 departs Cebu at 10PM and arrives in Singapore at 1:45AM the following day. The return service via PR518 will also operate four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), leaving Singapore at 2:45AM and touching down in Cebu at 6:40AM.

At present, PAL flies to Singapore from Manila four times daily via PR 511, PR507, PR501 and PR509.

“The Cebu hub allows passengers from other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao to hop to the Queen City of the South and fly direct to Singapore without having to fly to Manila. Passengers will also get to experience our trademark service with the Heart of the Filipino, on top of the modern amenities of our 199-seater A321s,” PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Jaime J. Bautista said.

Passengers can now choose between PAL’s Manila-Singapore and Cebu-Singapore frequencies to reach the highly popular Asian City, known for being a tourist haven. Travelers from Singapore can connect to PAL’s international network from Cebu to Los Angeles, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Incheon.

The airline will also launch daily Cebu-Caticlan-Clark flights beginning December 16. Visitors from Singapore can enjoy Cebu for several days and take PAL Caticlan flights to enjoy the world-famous beaches of Boracay Island or connect to Clark, Pampanga, gateway to Central and Northern Luzon.

The forthcoming service between the Queen City of the South and the Lion City of Asia will bring to six the total number of international routes from Cebu while the Cebu – Caticlan and Cebu-Clark (via Caticlan) operations will bring to ten the total number of PAL domestic connections from the island-province. Bacolod, Iloilo, Kalibo, Tacloban, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Manila are its current domestic destinations.
