Porter Airlines adds flights to Stephenville

Porter Airlines is returning to Stephenville, N.L., for a third consecutive summer season.

Non-stop service will operate twice-weekly between Halifax, beginning June 22, through September 4, 2016.

“We recognize the value that Stephenville places on direct air service,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines. “These flights are an important connection for the community that Porter is able to provide.”

Flights continue through Halifax, onward to Ottawa and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport on the same aircraft. Connections are also available for Montreal and numerous other points in the Porter network.

“I am thrilled that Stephenville Airport remains part of the Porter Airlines network in providing enhanced service to Western and Southwestern Newfoundland,” said Brenda Martin, CEO and Airport Manager, Stephenville Airport. “Porter enables us to offer choices to travellers looking for low fares, high value and a remarkable guest experience.

“This service helps support existing energy projects, the high leisure demand and business development. Service from Stephenville to Halifax remains a fundamental element of our strategy for sustainable growth.”
