PSA Airlines Introduces Pathway Program For Maintenance Professionals

PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is introducing a program that provides a valuable path for interested students at its partner schools to transition from the classroom to the aviation maintenance hangars at PSA.

Through the partnership, students are eligible to receive up to $2,000 to cover the cost of earning their Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and will receive immediate placement as a PSA mechanic once their certification is completed.

PSA currently has premier partnerships with local schools Great Oaks Career Center, Miami Valley Career Technology Center and Sinclair Community College.

In addition to the support eligible students receive as part of the Maintenance Student Pathway Program, PSA offers its mechanics advancement opportunities and benefits.

“There has never been a better time to join the aviation industry as a mechanic and we are committed to providing interested mechanics the support they need to have a successful and prosperous career at PSA,” said Gary Pratt, Vice President – Maintenance and Engineering. “One of our goals with the Maintenance Student Pathway Program is to keep local talent local and we are excited to bring the best and brightest local individuals to PSA to join our family and experience a culture that supports our team members and encourages professional development.”

“We appreciate that PSA Airlines truly wants to be a part of our school and invest in our students,” said Scot Pembleton, Instructor – Great Oaks Career Center. “This partnership recognizes the quality aviation technician training that Great Oaks has provided for over 30 years.”
