During the 2018 skiing season, Scandinavian Airlines will open a new route from Stockholm to Chambéry in the French Alps.
Chambéry Airport is the closest airport to get to and from popular ski resorts such as Val d’lsere and Val Thorens.
The new route between Stockholm and Chambéry brings Scandinavian passengers closer to popular ski resorts such as Val d’lsere and Val Thorens. The new route opens on 3 February and departs on Saturdays. Chambéry Airport is the closest airport to the popular ski resorts and offers transfer buses and car rental services directly outside the terminal building.
“We are seeing growing demand for flights to ski resorts during the early spring and Easter period, and we are working continually to meet our customers’ demand. By offering one departure a week to the French Alps we are responding to our customers’ demand for leisure destinations,” says Anders Wahlström, Director of Sales, SAS Sweden.
The new route is intended as a complement to SAS’s other regular routes to regions near the Alps (Innsbruck, Salzburg, Munich, Geneva, Zurich, Venice and Milan) and will be operated with SAS’s new A320neo, which has a 15-18 % lower climate impact than its predecessor.
