Scandinavian Airlines increases the number of routes from Lithuania and on April 1, 2013, launches a new route between Stockholm and Vilnius.

Flights to the Swedish capital city will be operated 6 times per week, i.e. every day except Saturdays.

Planes at Stockholm Arlanda airport will take off at 14:45 and will depart Vilnius International Airport at 17:55. The first flight between Stockholm and Vilnius will be operated on April 1, 2013, and the flight tickets will be available for purchasing since the last week of January 2013.

“There is a lot of Swedish capital in Lithuania, our country and Sweden have a long-term business relationship. Taking into account our customers’ demand, encouraged us to increase the number of routes from Lithuania in the direction of Stockholm, as it seemed to be the most logical route expansion for us”, noted Rūta Juciene, SAS Representative Manager, Lithuania.

In Lithuania, SAS is operating 19 weekly flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen and 13 weekly flights between Palanga and Copenhagen. After having launched a new route between Stockholm and Vilnius, SAS will be operating 38 weekly flights to Lithuania in total, and this will be the biggest ever amount of SAS flights in this market.
