Silver Airways expands Bahamian network with return to Nassau

Silver Airways today announced it is further expanding its Bahamian network by resuming nonstop service to Nassau, Bahamas.

Starting May 26, 2015, Silver Airways will operate nonstop flights to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport from Tampa, Palm Beach, and Fort Myers, including:

– Daily nonstop service between Tampa and Nassau

– Four weekly flights between Palm Beach and Nassau

– Three weekly flights between Fort Myers and Nassau.

In addition to the new Nassau service, Silver Airways is also resuming its popular seasonal service to Governor’s Harbour (Eleuthera) and George Town (Great Exuma) with five flights per week from Fort Lauderdale.

“We are looking forward to continuing our commitment to serving travelers by growing our core markets in Florida and the Bahamas,” said Silver Airways President and CEO Sami Teittinen. “We are also excited about Silver’s future continued expansion as we anticipate the U.S. and Cuba governments signing the bilateral agreement, which will open additional opportunities for scheduled service in the Caribbean and Cuba.”

Silver Airways has a proven commitment to The Bahamas with direct flights to five Family Islands. We are pleased that they are again expanding with the addition of Nassau to their schedule.”

From Tampa, Silver currently offers nonstop service to a number of Florida and Bahamas destinations, including Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Key West, Palm Beach, Panama City, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Marsh Harbour (Abacos).

From Palm Beach, Silver currently offers nonstop service to Tampa and Marsh Harbour (Abacos).

From Fort Myers, Silver currently offers nonstop service to Orlando and Key West.
